Belle Mode

We are forever thinking up new ideas and styles for Belle.
Next year we hope to have a wedding/party range. Lovely things tohire and buy for that special day. All will have the favourite feel of Belle- pale colours, vintage, handmade. Look out for bunting, chair sashes, napkins, candelabras, glass ware pom poms and pearls……………

Just a word of warning– lots of shops have said they have had a fall in sales, and although this is expected when times are tough, there is also a feeling that people are buying their dresses ‘online’. Whilst this is a great way to shop. (I will be telling you about my fave sites soon!) Buyers should beware of sites that sell cheaper versions of the original. This is not always clear I have had many sad little princesses coming in to me with tales of wolefully inadequate dresses. Its easy to have a good web site, so be careful. By shopping at small dress shops you will get quality of dress as well as quality customer sevrice.

Dont you just love Spring? I think its my fav time of year! I love the colours of spring, all those pastels! mmmmm Pastel colours are big this year in fashion and I think this will seep through to prom for next year. So nice to wear these soft colours.
With Easter approaching, the shop is going to be busy with the young things looking for thier perfect prom dress. I just love seeing the smiling faces when they find THE DRESS! I am hoping to be able to spend some time in the kitchen as well this Easter , making cupcakes and decorating the terrace with my new line of handmade bunting. Belle Mode is expanding into handmade items for the home and for parties, as well as clothes for ‘little people’…watch this space   xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well that’s the prom season over for a few months. I will be thinking of some new design ideas for the shop and thinking about what to buy for next year. Still to come is the winter season, but lets not think of winter just now. The sun is shining and summer balls are in full swing. The beautiful La Femme and Blush dresses are wonderful for a summers night under the stars, with music playing in the background and the one you love on your arm.

Romance is the new place to be right now, enjoy your summer and dress like a princes.

Its been a hectic week getting all the dresses ready for the proms. I cant wait to see the pictures!  If you have some lovely pictures please share them and tell us about our night.

I will be spending some time over the summer on my own designs that we hope to get ready for next year. We will also be thinking about what the trends will be for next year.
